    Teamsters Vote for SAFH Contract Proposal     09-20-2007

    On Wednesday, September 19, 2007, after only six negotiating sessions, employees represented by Teamsters Local 150 at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital voted to ratify the hospital’s proposal for a new four-year contract.

    The new contract brings a total 20 percent wage increase across the board over the next four years, beginning with four percent effective September 9, 2007, followed by five percent in 2008, five percent in 2009 and six percent in 2010.

    A major provision in the contract includes additional market adjustments for Certified Nurse Assistants, Lead Services Technicians, LVN 1, Transportation Aides, Engineers, Lab Assistants, Food Services Workers, Sterile Process Technicians and Certified Surgical Technicians.

    "Both the hospital and Teamsters are pleased with the outcome," said Mitch Hanna, Chief Administrative Officer. "The agreement reflects Sutter Auburn’s commitment to provide competitive wages and benefits and a rewarding work environment to our staff.
