SAFH Honors Veterans on Veteran's Day     11-06-2009

The Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Art Can Heal program invites the public to a reception on November 11, Veteran’s Day, to honor local Veterans. The Art Can Heal Program is hosting a photography show that illustrates war through the eyes of soldiers at duty in various war time theaters. Many of the photographs on display are from local Veterans, including the Honorable Mike Holmes, Mayor of Auburn.

One display, "A Year in Viet Nam," features photographs from Tony Hallas of Foresthill, showing his time spent in View Nam after being drafted into the Army in 1968.

A reception for the photographers featured will be held on Wednesday, November 11, from 4 to 6 p.m., in conference Room A at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital. The shows run until January 14, 2010.
