Cardiac Catheterization/Vascular Lab
Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital
(530) 886-6578 - Main lab | (530) 889-6046 - Dept. Mgr.
The Cardiac Catheterization/Vascular Lab provides services to detect significant cardiovascular disease, and also to detect and treat peripheral vascular disease. Previously, physicians and their patients traveled out of the Auburn area for these procedures.
These services are convenient for patients with cardiovascular disease, who must obtain treatment for affected blood vessels of the heart, and for patients with peripheral vascular disease (PVD), which affects blood vessels that have narrowed and thickened elsewhere in the body.
The Cardiac Catheterization/Vascular Lab provides the latest in technology with all-digital X-ray imaging that cardiologists, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons use to view and treat blood vessel blockages the could cause heart attacks, strokes and poor blood flow to the extremities.
In addition to diagnostic testing for valve disease, cardiomyopathy and PVD, the Cardiac/Vascular Lab provides:
- New pacemaker placement
- Pacemaker battery exchange
- Electrical cardioversion for atril fibrillation
- Tilt table test of fainting (syncopy)
- Repair of dialysis shunt grafts
