A woman's health is a precious gift, and one that must be protected. At Sutter Auburn Faith, we help women take care of concerns they can see, such as weight and fitness, and those they cannot, such as osteoporosis and breast cancer. In addition, our Women's Health Nurse addresses educational needs and assists with the navigation throughout the health care system as needed.

Our commitment to care includes a Women's Imaging Center, which offers the latest, most advanced diagnostic tools that detect osteoporosis at its onset and breast cancer at its earliest, and most curable, stages.

Bone-Density Screening - Osteoporosis is a slow and hidden danger that causes bones to weaken and fracture more easily. The Center's advanced screening equipment helps women and their doctors monitor bone density over time, measure the effectiveness of bone-strengthening treatments, and confirm an osteoporosis diagnosis if a fracture has already occurred.

Digital mammography - Fast and convenient, digital mammography takes half the time to perform and provides results within seconds. Digital mammography also offers better visibility, especially through dense breast tissue and near the skin line and chest wall. Physicians are able to enhance the images and zoom in for a closer look - options not available through traditional mammography. By using the most advanced equipment available, the Center ensures women get immediate answers and seldom need to return for additional images.

But excellence in care is more than good equipment; it's working with each woman as an individual, ensuring that she gets the information and care she needs for greatest peace of mind. It's getting women the answers they need quickly and compassionately, and providing support and counseling services to deal with mental and emotional stress. Our Women's Health Nurse works individually with women, guiding them to the right caregiver and through the insurance maze.
